On February 14th, the day before the Spring Festival holiday, the section of road from Huti Bridge to Dongxi Bridge was brightly lit and filled with warmth. Streetlights were simultaneously illuminated, adorning the area with a "light and shadow extravaganza" for the upcoming Spring Festival and adding a vibrant touch to this "Hometown of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting."
As dusk deepened and the lights gradually illuminated the area, the night scene near the bridge was redefined. Unlike the single function of traditional streetlights, these newly installed smart streetlights serve as "safety guardians" for residents traveling at night, "mobile windows" showcasing Zhao'an's cultural heritage, and a vivid example of how the Zhao'an County Urban Management and Law Enforcement Bureau in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, is using infrastructure upgrades to empower the promotion of its cultural tourism brand. The Zhao'an County Urban Management and Law Enforcement Bureau have deeply integrated the intelligent upgrading and transformation of streetlights in key areas with Zhao'an's cultural and tourism elements, promoting the transformation of smart streetlights from "lighting tools" to "cultural windows." This achieves a multi-faceted value combination of energy conservation and carbon reduction, intelligent management, and cultural tourism display, making each streetlight a "miniature carrier" of Zhao'an's charm.
It is reported that this smart streetlight project has carried out comprehensive energy-saving and carbon-reduction upgrades on urban municipal roads and the urban sections of National Highways G324 and G228, comprehensively improving the quality of urban road lighting and the level of green development. Notably, the streetlight design is highly characteristic of Zhao'an-the lampposts adopt a "scroll + calligraphy brush" shape, with the words "Welcome to the Hometown of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting" engraved on the poles, conveying Zhao'an's enthusiasm and sincerity, allowing passersby to experience the city's ink-scented atmosphere amidst the light and shadow.
The Zhao'an County Urban Management and Law Enforcement Bureau will use this project as a model to actively seek more entry points for integrating infrastructure projects with cultural tourism IPs. In the future, when appropriate opportunities arise, the "Fujian and Guangdong Cuisine, Ink-Scented Zhao'an" cultural tourism IP will be extended to more urban infrastructure and public spaces, such as city parks and rest stations. Through breakthroughs in individual projects, a linear network will be formed, ultimately constructing a cultural tourism IP network covering the entire city, allowing cultural tourism elements to integrate into the urban fabric and achieving a city-wide cultural tourism atmosphere where "every step reveals a scene, and every scene reveals a culture."
