Recently, construction workers were seen methodically laying lighting cables along the shoreline of Hongshan Lake Park in Anshun City, Guizhou Province.
Hongshan Lake Park serves as Anshun’s "urban reception hall," blending natural scenery with cultural heritage. Xiong Renjie, a staff member of Anshun Tourism Group, explained, “In preparation for the 19th Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Conference, we have launched a comprehensive improvement and upgrading initiative for Hongshan Lake. This includes enhancing the lighting atmosphere and enriching cultural experiences to elevate the park’s overall appeal.”
According to Xiong, the lighting enhancement project builds upon the existing foundational illumination to create a brand-new nighttime landscape for Hongshan Lake. Hidden lighting fixtures are discreetly embedded among the greenery along the shore, emitting soft and layered light to create a "magical forest" ambiance. Meanwhile, the Nine-Arch Bridge is accentuated with light strips that outline its structure, complementing yet distinctly contrasting with the natural scenery of the lakeside. "The entire lighting installation is expected to be completed and operational around April, offering residents and visitors a refreshing nighttime experience," Xiong added.
"During the Tourism Industry Development Conference, we will invite professional teams to perform traditional ‘da tie hua’ (spark-showering) and ‘fire pot’ displays at Hongshan Lake, allowing visitors to appreciate the charm of intangible cultural heritage,” Xiong shared. In addition, a drone show will light up the sky above the lake, featuring visuals of Huangguoshu Waterfall’s grandeur, the mystical allure of the Dragon Palace, the rustic charm of Tunpu, and the unique landscape of Getu River. This innovative presentation will offer visitors a fresh perspective on Anshun’s rich natural and cultural scenery.
