Recently, citizens relaxing in the People's Square of Yongchuan District, Chongqing, noticed that the previously dim streetlights in the square have become significantly brighter.

The landscape lights in the People's Square, having been in use for over ten years, had suffered from aging, damage, and dim illumination. This affected the evening leisure and exercise activities of nearby residents and posed certain safety hazards. Adhering to the service philosophy that "no public concern is too small," the Yongchuan District Municipal Facilities Office prioritized the citizens' needs and expectations for street lighting. Based on preliminary on-site surveys and demand assessments, they developed a streetlight upgrade plan that emphasized cost efficiency. This plan involved retaining the existing poles of the inner circle's landscape lights and only replacing them with new landscape luminaires, resulting in brighter and more uniform illumination.
On May 12, after several weeks of renovation work, the replacement of the landscape lights in the People's Square was completed. A total of 22 landscape lights in the inner circle and 24 in the outer circle were replaced, significantly improving the square's lighting environment. Residents in the area have unanimously expressed that the new lighting is both bright and comfortable, making evening leisure activities much more pleasant.
