This year, Baisha Town, Jiangjin District, Chongqing is expected to install 1,012 solar street lights to solve the lighting problem of the village (community).
Recently, 78 solar street lights on the main roads and public areas of Songlingang Community in Baisha Town have been installed and put into use, bringing convenience to people's lives.
It is understood that with the increase in the number of years of use, some street lights in Songlingang Community have aging and damage, which not only affects the night lighting effect, but also brings safety hazards to residents' travel.
In order to improve this situation, the town and village levels have decided to install solar street lights for Songlingang Community after investigation and planning. These street lights are not only environmentally friendly and energy-saving, but also easy to install, without the need to lay complex cable lines, which greatly reduces construction costs and time.
The use of solar street lights not only solves the lighting problem of the community, but also improves the overall image of the community and enhances the sense of security and happiness of residents. Uncle Wang, a community resident, said: "It is now convenient to go out at night. The roads are bright and it is much safer for children to go home from school."
It is understood that Baisha Town plans to install 1,012 solar street lights this year, involving 16 villages (communities) including Gaowu Community, Shiba Community, Fangyin Village, Fujian Village, and Baozhu Village. More than 300 street lights have been installed, and it is expected that all will be installed by the end of September.
