Zhan Gaofeng said that in May 2021, 15 departments including the Ministry of Education will focus on the key areas, core elements, and key links of myopia prevention and control for primary and middle school students, and jointly issue the "Bright Action Work Plan for Prevention and Control of Myopia in Children and Adolescents (2021-2025)" , proposed to "improve teaching facilities and conditions, implement lighting and lighting requirements for classrooms, dormitories, libraries (reading rooms), etc., and provide students with a learning environment that meets the requirements for eye hygiene." The Jilin Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government attach great importance to children and adolescents with myopia for prevention and control, a number of measures have been taken in terms of regular monitoring of students' vision, strengthening vision management of children and adolescents, and myopia intervention. Last year, the Jilin Provincial Government included "Brightness Action into the Campus-Implementation of Primary and Secondary School Classroom Lighting Renovation Project" as a practical matter of people's livelihood. The provincial government invested 34.79 million yuan to renovate 4,372 primary and secondary school classrooms in the province.
According to Zhan Gaofeng, in 2023, Jilin Province will invest 7 million yuan to renovate 1,000 classrooms, focusing on high schools that spend the longest time using their eyes and have the most urgent need to improve lighting. For classroom lighting renovation, safe, environmentally friendly, and energy-saving lighting products are selected, and qualified third-party testing agencies are required to conduct professional testing to ensure that the core technical indicators of classroom lighting such as illumination, glare, strobe, color rendering index, color temperature, and blue light meet the national requirements. standard. The renovated classroom lighting is warm and soft, avoiding the glare problem caused by direct light, the light distribution is even, and there is no flickering. A special blackboard light is also installed to ensure that the content of the blackboard writing is clear and easy to see. The comfortable light environment can effectively improve students' concentration, and solve the problem of glare and strobe caused by direct light shining on students' eyes, which is easy to cause visual fatigue.
Zhan Gaofeng said that in the next step, Jilin Province will carry out regular monitoring of students' vision, improve students' vision health records, strengthen outdoor physical exercise, continue to promote the standardization of classroom lighting environments in primary and secondary schools across the province, and provide young people with a scientific and healthy learning environment.
