It is reported that in the future, Guizhou Province will further sort out the development goals of the LED industry, formulate effective measures, decompose the development goals into cities (prefectures), and refine them into parks and enterprises. Focusing on the general pattern of "one district, two poles, and seven bases" in the information industry of Guizhou Province, the overall planning of the LED industry will be carried out to promote the agglomeration and concentration of upstream and downstream enterprises, extend the industrial chain and widen the industrial scope. Promote the large-scale industry and enhance the overall competitiveness of the LED industry.
In recent years, Guiyang National High-tech Zone has seized the important opportunity for the country to accelerate the cultivation and development of strategic emerging industries, accelerated the development of the LED industry, and formed industrial clustering advantages and leading advantages through the extension of the industrial chain. At present, Guizhou Province has initially formed an industrial system involving the production of LED substrate materials, chip manufacturing, and packaging, LED application, and related supporting facilities, and has 23 related industrial enterprises.
As of 2012, the total investment of LED industry projects totaled 7.428 billion yuan, and the output value is expected to be 1.429 billion yuan. Rapidly expanding and strengthening the LED industry, which is the focus of Guizhou Province's strategic emerging industry development layout and industrial transformation and upgrading strategy, will form a new economic growth point. At present, the LED industry chain layout and subsidies, and other supporting policies issued by Guizhou Province are attracting downstream chip packaging and some LED terminal product manufacturers to settle in Guizhou, making every effort to build a modern LED industry cluster.
