The main torch stage of the opening ceremony has a diameter of 14.89 meters. It is composed of 96 small snowflake shapes and 6 LED double-sided screens in the shape of olive branches. It adopts a double-sided hollow design and is embedded with more than 550,000 LED lamp beads. The lamp beads are independently controlled by a single channel of the driver chip.

In order to realize the creative idea that the torch stage of the director group should be "sparkling like a diamond", the core R&D team of BOE has developed a single-pixel controllable pixel with the narrowest luminous surface in the industry through more than 500 design drawings and nearly 10 rounds of sample preparation. The special-shaped display product fully presents the line sense of snowflakes and the delicate picture display effect, and successfully turns the artistic creativity of the director team into reality.
At the moment when the torch was lit, the giant snowflake screen radiated from the center to the surrounding areas, shining a wave-like progressive light. Behind the rapidly changing and perfectly synchronized display screen, BOE’s AIoT technology system and self-developed products were used. /Asynchronous compatible with the signaling system, asynchronous centralized control can quickly deliver large-scale video content in a very short time, and synchronous centralized control ensures that 102 double-sided screens can achieve millisecond-level response; the highly redundant control system ensures the high reliability of the torch broadcast control system.
At the same time, the use of a LoRa (long-distance radio) low-latency control system with synchronous playback time correction technology, further ensures that instructions are issued without fail, and achieves perfect coordination of video images.
The stage floor of the opening ceremony is currently the largest 8K ultra-high-definition ground display system, with an overall area of 10,393 square meters. BOE adopts multiple 8K+ resolution image fusion technologies, and the ultra-large-scale optical correction algorithm can perform pixel-level optical correction on each display screen, which can present a 100,000:1 ultra-high contrast ratio, 3840Hz ultra-high refresh rate, and 29900x15096 ultra-high-resolution ultra-high-definition gorgeous picture.
