For a long time, the lighting equipment in the Balitai campus of Nankai University for 6, 10, 12, 14, and 15 places are all fluorescent lamps. Due to the low illuminance of traditional fluorescent lamps, high power consumption, and easy damage, and because of the original manual switch It is difficult to carry out refined manual management of lights. The lights are often "on all on", and the lights in the corridor are also on when the night is quiet.
Beginning in July, the Infrastructure Security Office has renovated the lighting equipment in the dormitory, replacing 1,605 sets of fluorescent lamps with LED lamps with higher lighting efficiency and longer life. LED energy-saving lamps with radar sensing devices are used in the corridors to realize the lighting of people. People walk slightly bright, the toilet uses radar lights, the lights are on when people come, and the lights when people go are off. Compared with traditional fluorescent lamps, LED lamps to have better illuminance, longer lifespan, and significantly reduced operating costs. The use of induction lamps completely eliminates the phenomenon of "changing lights" and "daylights" caused by students forgetting to turn off the lights.
"I used to see the lights in the corridors all the time, and not people passing by all the time. It felt like a waste, but it was inconvenient to turn them off. Now such an induction light not only meets the needs of the students but also saves electricity, killing two birds with one stone." Foreign Language Said Soho, an undergraduate of the college.
Data shows that the 5 dormitory buildings that have been renovated can save about 80,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity a year, save 40,000 yuan in electricity bills, and achieve an energy-saving rate of 71%.
Install water-saving valves in squatting toilets to improve water efficiency
"Lightly touch the button, the water will rush out quickly, and there is no need to worry about the water pressure being insufficient, and the toilet will not be flushed." Talking about the newly remodeled toilet, the students felt that it was much more convenient and cleaner.
"Although it feels that the water is flowing more urgently, in fact, the amount of water flowing out has been greatly reduced." Nan Xiaoyu, the relevant person in charge of the Infrastructure Security Department, said.
Some student dormitories on the Balitai campus will have insufficient water pressure and poor toilet flushing during peak water consumption. Not to mention the impact on environmental sanitation, repeated flushing will also cause waste of water resources.
