According to foreign media reports, the city facilities in Huntington, United States, are undergoing several improvements as part of their energy conservation and technology upgrade programs.

It is reported that the city has entered the third phase of the project with Honeywell, installing new LED lighting and HVAC (air conditioning system) systems in 14 buildings. In addition, the city has signed a non-exclusive franchise agreement with Comcast to improve the city's video broadcasting system.
Honeywell announced earlier this month that it is preparing to begin the third phase of its 15-year energy-saving contract with the city, which will save about $4.8 million (about $33.1 million) in total operating costs. Currently, the company is installing LED lighting technology and inductive sensors at various locations in the city to automatically control lighting. HVAC system improvements and control system upgrades will also be carried out in the City Hall.
Previously, Phases I and II involved facility upgrades, including lighting retrofits, mechanical and control improvements, water conservation systems, traffic signal retrofits, and other building repairs.
