"Technical Conditions for Road Lighting Poles" will be implemented from April 1st
According to the website of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, it approved the “Technical Conditions for Road Lighting Poles” as the product standard for the urban construction industry, numbered CJ/T527-2018, which was implemented on April 1, 2019.
It is understood that the industry standard is jointly edited by Changzhou City Lighting Management Office and China Municipal Engineering Association Urban Lighting Professional Committee. Through extensive research in the process of preparation, drawing on relevant domestic and international standards and engineering practice experience, the road lighting pole manufacturing has to guide significantly. With scientific and reasonable content, strong operability, and coordination with current relevant standards providing a basis for road lighting engineering applications, filling domestic gaps and reaching the international advanced level.
This standard specifies the product classification and model, general requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. of road lighting poles. The standard regulations only apply to poles with a height of less than 20m. They are used as lighting poles for urban roads, highways, square parks, courtyards, etc., and are not suitable for shaped or combined decorative poles.
The standard also stipulates the standard of the smart rod. The name of the smart rod is a multi-function rod. Its definition: in addition to the road lighting function, the multi-function light pole of other non-road lighting is set, codenamed DGN.
In the standard 22.214.171.124, the multi-function pole is required. In addition to meeting the basic standards, it also satisfies:
1. The bottom of the rod body can be equipped with intelligent control sensors, switches, charging piles and other electrical installation boxes. The height of the box should not be higher than 1800mm, and the length and width should not be greater than 450mm.
2. The connection between the box and the pole should meet the requirements of wind resistance;
3. The opening of the door frame shall comply with the requirements of 126.96.36.199.
"Sanitary requirements for lighting design and installation of ordinary classrooms in primary and secondary schools" was implemented on April 1.
On September 17, 2018, the State Administration of Market Supervision and the National Standardization Administration approved the issuance of 454 national standards such as the “Sanitary Requirements for Lighting Design and Installation of General Classrooms in Primary and Secondary Schools”.
GB/T 36876-2018 “Hygienic requirements of lighting design and setting in primary and middle school” provides detailed requirements for the general classroom, blackboard illumination, and design and installation hygiene requirements of primary and secondary schools. It has positive significance for protecting young people's vision. The GB/T 36876-2018 national standard will be officially implemented on April 1, 2019.

School classroom lighting standards meet the standard rate of 100%.
