In order to save energy and money, the Delhi government is considering using LED street lights instead of 1260 km within the jurisdiction of the city PWD roads existing street.

They said that the existing street lamps more consumption, bills are in lakhs dollars.
A government official said:"Currently, this section of the proposal for the installation of LED street lights have been developed shortly after the government will choose to tender a company to complete the project."
"Installing the LED street lights on all PWD road will help the government save electricity. In addition, it also saves the government money." He went on to say.
The official said the project is expected to be completed in about six months. Minister responsible for the electricity sector PWD Satyendar Jain also in favor of the installation of LED lights. The proposal will soon be adopted.
