All national commitment to phase out incandescent 2017

  21 counties in the country recently signed a "Farewell incandescent light bulb · lit smart city" written proposal, the use of contract energy management model to accelerate the implementation of green lighting retrofits, in 2017 in the city within the total phase-out of incandescent, public institutions and large public buildings all use of efficient lighting products.

  In the green light here at the International Conference on China to phase out incandescent accelerate the promotion of energy-saving lamps PMO and China Energy Conservation Association of Energy Service Industry Committee, jointly to the nation issued a "farewell to the incandescent light bulb · lit smart city" initiative, calling on the city to the actual action to accelerate the phase-out of incandescent process. Conference released the first batch of pilot cities list.

  This is a country specific initiatives to promote out incandescent roadmap. In response to global climate change, since 2007, Australia, Britain, the European Union and other countries and regions have issued out incandescent roadmap. The trend of the international community to respond positively to the phase-out of incandescent, to further promote China's green lighting project, in 2011 China issued "on the progressive ban on the import and sale of general lighting incandescent announcement", decided that from October 1, 2012, according to the power level a phased ban on the import and sale of incandescent lamps for general lighting. Among them, the third phase since October 1, 2014, banned the import and sale of 60 watts and above ordinary incandescent lighting.

  China is the world lighting products production and consumption country. 2013 production of 3.89 billion incandescent light, about one-third of global production; energy-saving lamps yield 4.16 billion, accounting for 80 percent of global output. If we replace all incandescent lamps with energy-saving lamps, the annual saving 48 billion kwh, equivalent to 48 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, enormous energy saving potential.
