On May 30, the semiconductor lighting technology assessment Union, China's semiconductor lighting, LED industry and application Alliance jointly released four LED lighting technology standards to fill the gaps of LED lights standard in China.

These four criteria are "general lighting with non-directional self-ballasted LED lamp specifications classification", "general lighting with non-directional self-ballasted LED lamp performance requirements," "double-ended LED lights security requirements," "double-end LED lights performance requirements."
Among them, the "general lighting with a non-directional self-ballasted LED lamp specification classified" as an important basis for the semiconductor lighting industry standard, has been adopted by authoritative ISO International Electrotechnical Commission. This classification was first proposed in the international arena saying lighting effects with "lumens" instead of the traditional "W" as a division of the new concept of LED lights specifications to better reflect the energy-efficient LED lights and other features and advantages.
According to reports, China is the one of the largest producer of LED lighting, concentrating about 90% of global productions. The products are widely sold in international markets. In recent years, many of the city's roads, schools, shopping malls, hotels and others has a large number of applications of LED lightings.
