On December 18, the reporter learned from a visit that the road section has entered the stage of lighting system debugging, and the entire line will be lit for debugging from 6:00 to 10:00 every night to make full preparations for the upcoming opening to traffic.

At around 6 o'clock in the evening, the Guangdong Coastal Tourism Highway Yangjiang Hailing Dam to Xitou Section (including Yangjiang Port Bridge) is brightly lit, covered with a "coat" of gorgeous lights, like a bright pearl inlaid in the night.
Under the ingenious fusion of lights, the lights and shadows of the main tower of Yangjiang Port Bridge are shifting and changing, and the illuminated cables on both sides are like strings, highlighting the main tower. More majestic and magnificent. Looking from a distance, the bridge is like a "silver dragon exploring the sea", connecting Pinggang Town and Xitou Town, adding a beautiful landscape to our city.
"At present, we are debugging the lighting, planning the layout and angle of the lighting according to the structural characteristics of the bridge, and striving to achieve the best effect." Project engineer Zhang Wenbo introduced that the main tower has a total of 56 bridge cables, each of which is distributed with 3 sets of lights, and the process of light and shadow changes from nothing to something is slow and natural. In addition, LED lighting is also installed on the guardrail to ensure that both lighting and viewing effects are taken into account at night. The lighting project adopts an intelligent lighting control system, which can realize remote centralized control and automatic control. At that time, the opening time and section can be adjusted according to the needs of the bridge.
It is understood that the starting point of the Yangjiang Hailing Dam to Xitou Section (including Yangjiang Port Bridge) highway project is located at the Port Avenue of Yangjiang High-tech Zone, and the end point is the Provincial Road S278 in Xitou Town, Yangxi County. The total length is about 24 kilometers. The entire line adopts the standard design of a first-class highway and a two-way six-lane road, with a design speed of 60-80 kilometers per hour. Among them, Yangjiang Port Bridge is about 4.8 kilometers long and 158.7 meters high, equivalent to a 53-story building. It is currently the longest and largest cross-sea single-tower cable-stayed bridge in the city. After completion, it will become a new landmark building in our city.
