In recent days, the Street Lamp Management Center of the Urban Management Bureau of Hengshui City, Hebei Province, organized a professional inspection team and equipped with professional testing tools in accordance with the arrangements and deployment of the Party Group of the Municipal Urban Management Bureau, and conducted safety inspections on more than 7,000 street lamp poles within the management scope one by one to ensure the safe and stable operation of street lamps in extreme weather conditions such as spring gales, and provide citizens with a bright and safe night travel environment.
This "big physical examination" focused on investigating and dealing with hidden dangers such as the stability of the lamp pole foundation, the safety of wire connection, the integrity of lamps, the effectiveness of protective measures and insulation. During the work, the Municipal Street Lamp Management Center implemented the measures of "one person per street" and "separate inspection and repair", requiring the inspectors to record and take photos of the problems and hidden dangers found, and form a detailed list of problems. According to the type of problem, the center formulates specific rectification measures and completion time limits, and organizes acceptance personnel to conduct re-inspection and acceptance after the professional personnel complete the rectification to ensure that all problems and hidden dangers are eliminated. At present, the center has completed the inspection of more than 2,300 lamp poles in the urban Qianjin Street, North Outer Ring Road, Yongxing Road and other sections, and found two rust problems, which have been rectified in time.
"Small street lights" are linked to "big people's livelihood". Jia Pengcheng, deputy director of the Street Light Management Center of Hengshui Municipal Urban Management Bureau, said that they will carry out regular inspections and repairs of street lights and ancillary facilities to eliminate safety hazards in a timely manner.
