On November 30, the navigation lights system of the runway project of Lishui Airport in Lishui City, Zhejiang Province was officially lit. The first lighting of the navigation lights marked that the construction of Lishui Airport had entered the final debugging stage, laying a solid foundation for the airport to be put into use on schedule.
The navigation lights system is a light sign set up to provide visual guidance for aircraft takeoff, landing, and taxiing at night or in low visibility conditions. It is known as the "third eye" of pilots and is the "bright road" that lights up the safe landing of aircraft at the airport. The scope of the power-on debugging of the runway navigation lights system of Lishui Airport mainly includes the precision approach lighting system, runway lighting system, and taxiway lighting system. The construction involves the installation of more than 1,000 sets of various types of navigation lights, the laying of more than 150,000 meters of lighting cables, and the installation of power supply supporting facilities and equipment in the lighting trestle and the newly built lighting station.
